Saturday 7th January : Skiing with Neilson. Flew from Gatwick. From Lyon we had a 2.5 hour coach journey to Valmorel.

Sunday 8th January : Off to the nursery slopes today. Boots hurt! Joined the ski school which involved lots of snow ploughs and out of control people on skis. Thermometer on my fleece read -10°. Stunning alpine landscapes.

Monday 9th January : Completely knackered. More ski school. Woman in our group broke her arm today.

Tuesday 10th January : Mart tried snowboarding today. He's good at it :o). Lunch venue today was L'Altipiano. Looked out onto Mont Blanc.

Wednesday 11th January : Lunch was served 6,000 ft up. More snowboarding. Had a wander around the mountain on foot.

Thursday 12th January : Sun goes off the mountain at about 3:30pm, temperature plumets.

Friday 13th January : One of the nicest places to eat in valmorel is the Little Prince.
