Thursday
: We set of for Cornwall at midday and arrived at Upton Farm, a stunning, luxury bed and breakfast at Trebarwith, at around 5pm. The farm is comprised of the main farm house, where we stayed, along with other character cornish slate and stone barns that have been beautifully renovated and furnished. We were warmly greeted by our hosts and offered a wonderful cream tea, which was very welcome after our five hour trip. That evening we ate at the Mill also at Trebarwith which was an excellent meal.
Friday : After a hearty full English breakfast we drove to Launceston looked at some estate agents. It was hosing down with rain. We aqua plained our way over to Wadebridge and had a look around. The sky started to clear and the sun came out. We drove up to Port Isaac, a tiny fishing harbour. We sat and ate fish and chips by the harbour and watched a TV film crew and Martin Clunes as they filmed the new series of Doc Martin - almost a TV dinner!
Saturday : Full and content with our breakfast from the Farm we drove around and explored Bodmin Moor, quite beautiful. We made our way down to St Austall, checking out some estate agents as we went browsing through the town. We drove up to Boscastle, Tintagel and over to Trebarwith Strand. We stopped there, the sky had started to clear, the light was fantastic. We had dinner at Port William and sat outside and watched the tide come in and out as night fell.
Sunday : Our last day to day, we drove down south east of Bodmin and explored had a look at a couple of houses and then set of back home. We drove over Dartmoor which was an experience. Beautiful rocky outcrops, woods and vast wild open stretches. I haven't been here since I was a child. A magical place. We had lunch at the Two Bridges Hotel in the heart of the moor.
